Today I just sort of took a selfish day and CRH all day, took kid to the sitter, and went at it. Had 2 boxes waiting at my regular bank and picked up 100.00 in dimes and 10.00 worth of pennys. The only other thing I HAD to do was get the oil changed in my 2005 Explorer. Well fun day CRH, not hugely productive fist box gave up 6 40%s I snagged a 40% from a teller and the second box gave up 4 40%. So no skunk, but no blowout either got nothing on the dimes, and havent started the pennys. I did get some nice coins for a whitman folder I am starting including a BU 1972 and 1976. And 2 very damaged coins I am going to post pics of later because the are abused! Anyway, never did find anyone to change my oil, and dec ided to do it before taking my wife out to dinner, I used to always change my own oil, nothing to it, 15 min tops. Except for the OOPS. My oops was taking the drain plug out of the tranmission pan instead of the oil pan and not realising my mistake till it was too late. Well, had a few choice words for myself, put the plug back in, and went to the engine compartment to see where the dip stick was...except, it wasnt. There isnt one. Ford in their wisdom decided it wasnt needed cause you dont have to change the fluid for 100k miles just have the shop do it...AAAAHG! Except, I need the car in the morning, and now cant drive it to the SHOP! Sorry this is getting long, and way called wife told her to go get food, my dad and I climbed of the problem like monkeys and were about to give up when I noticed the transmission pan had a stamp the said Reusable Gasket...So we too out all 18 boltslowered the pan on to the cross members and put 3 qts or fluid over the side. It worked, by let me give you this advice, if you have a car like this, dont let the tranny fluid out, its about a 5 hour mistake! ( I coulda been searching those pennys!) We now return to your regularly scedualed programing wher LJ and OldRed are destabilizing world silver mkts with their awsome finds.
