Todays thingamajigger (better picture)

I dug this today along with a bunch of other stuff I should have re-buried...lol
It looks like a dragon with what I'm guessing is something written in Chinese at the bottom. Does anyone have any idea what it might say or how old it might be?

Looks like it has a hangy thing to it, some kind of pendent?

I'm thinking pendant too..
Nice looking.. maybe you can get someone to read the inscription!
My first thoughts were it was lost during the building of a railroad... just a guess!

Interesting thought about the railroad thing. It's not 200 yards from where the rairoad went through in 1880. What made you say lost during the building of a railroad?
