I was so surprised to see this Buffalo pop up from a tot lot. It was just under the thin sandy sod.

Good stuff.. Playgrounds can produce odd finds The Buffalo may have come from Dads collection?

I found a 1800's Barber dime in a Tot lot I figured it must have been a lost "Show and Tell" item that was lost when the child stopped on the way home from school.

I agree with you both. Last season I found a near perfect 1906 IHP in a tot sand box. Can read LIBERTY on the headdress.

Tot Lots can produce some pretty neat coin finds. Its a good thing you found that Buffalo in the sand, it faired out way better than if you had dug it from the dirt. Neat find.

Wow!!! Nice surprise!!! Congrats!!!!

I once found an 1863 IHP behind a backstop 2 inches deep in the sand. I wondered where the fill sand was brought in from.

Nice Haul and cool Buff!!
