TOKEN and Eagle Button - ***UPDATE- Token proudly displayed now***

On my way to work this morning I saw a falling star. No, not Britney Spears. I was wondering if that meant I would have good luck today. Well, I didn't hit the lottery, so I'll assume my finds today were the good luck.
I hit the wooded spot again at the plantation property where I found the police button the other day.
Lots of iffy targets out there, and I thought I had finally found an LC. Included are before & after pictures of what my "coin" turned out to be.
Still a neat find though. I'll keep trying.

The token cleaned up nicely with a peroxide bath. It looks to be in excellent condition too.
"25 cents towards a $2.50 savings account at 4% interest." Early 1900's maybe?

Sounds like you need to be diggin into those piles of stones.


You have an early house site there. The cellar hole is the spot you were looking at earlier. The stack of stones are foundation and chimney where the house sat.

When I was filming that hole I went brain dead. (Age ) I meant to say celler hole instead of basement, but it just wouldn't come to me. At least I didn't say crawl space.
I got a signal today in that pile of rocks, and dug, dug, dug. After piling out about 10 foundation stones I found a large iron stove piece.
It really has turned out to be a neat spot. I think my detecting skills have improved since last year too. I discovered that I was discriminating out way too much last year since I hit this same spot before and missed all of these targets.
Looking forward to seeing what else is there.

I won that one already with an Infantry eagle button. Now the bet is on the first LC. That's what I thought I had today.
Nick's not getting off cheap.

That's why I always dig around in the stone pile a good bit. (Would you have been able to get a signal from it if it was a Seated Dime instead of a stove piece?) I've pulled good targets out of those stone piles--and I usually go all-metal around them and dig anything that pegs just above a nail. I also scan the sides and bottom of each hole I dig before I fill it in again.

The masonic suspender clip I found came out about a foot and a half down in a stone pile (had dug the hole for big iron, then was able to hear it, and dug deeper after the iron was gone for the clip). Rodeo got an early, large knife (weapon knife--not eating knife) from the same stone pile.
