Garebel1861 and I went down to the river Sunday where we found several slugs and tokens. Can anyone help ID these? Sometime between the early 1920s and 40s several slot machines were confiscated in a raid. When the police destroyed them, the machines were thrown off the bridge just north of where we recovered these tokens. I am pretty sure the lead tokens, like the one in the last picture, came from these machines but have no idea on the rest. The token in pictures 5 and 6 reads "W.E.S. & CO" surrounded by "Good for one free game" on the front. The reverse has a script "W" in the middle with "Awarded For Skill, Property of Machine" around the edge.
I think it is brass.
The second token, pictures 7 & 8 has the numbers "31528" on one side and "Good For 5c In Trade". I also think this one is brass.
The last token pictured is lead and has a reeded mark around the edge along with some letters/numbers which are almost unreadable. What I can make out is "?T" followed by "?OO". The back is plain.
