Hello everyone,
This is just a curiosity subject. Has anyone ever done work on the Tomoka river? I know years ago they were drilling and digging around High Bridge. And we have the old plantations in what is now a state park. Going south is Tomoka Oaks and Main Trails development. I would guess if they found anything it would have been a "You talk you get fired" situation. Then to the spring head in Tiger Bay WMA again off limits.
In Tiger Bay I have found broken pottery from the pine pitch days laying on top of the ground while deer hunting but never searched it.
From a strategic standpoint I cannot believe the river was not used.
