These poor quality pics show part of a 'grandfather's collection' offered for sale. My baloney detector is sounding off!
Too many perfect artifacts in one collection to be true.
Even as a collection of 'Reproductions' it is pretty impressive.
What evidence do you see that would make you skeptical about the authenticity of these items?

It appears that they were all made by the same person.

I’d be skeptical too , a few of the turkey tails look identical like they are all made from the same rock, some eye candy regardless

I would want to know how 'grandfather' came by them.

Looks like "once in a lifetime" happened 24 times.

Each one just looks to perfect. Although I’m no expert.

If you look close at the pics they have the name Jim Spears written on them. Then look at the link I posted.

If it looks like BS , smells like BS, and the story sounds like BS, its probably BS.

Guess that makes sense than ... I could see the writing but using cell phone couldn’t zoom enough to clearly make out what writing said. So guess it’s safe to say they are quality made reproduction artifacts

Holy Cow, Icewing.....that's it! I did not try to read those labels....but now I see. Just for fun, let me call the seller and see what they have to say. Their ad does not claim these are authentic, ancient artifacts...

Jim Spears. Hmmmm. Who knew?

There are several sellers on eBay that sell these type of reproductions as real. Perfect Dove's, Dalton's, bird stones, etc. They even have COA's with them. All are fake as are the worthless and I would say criminal COA's.

Nice stuff. I know Jim Spears. Viet Nam vet and a real good guy. Signs his work. This thread needs to be moved to Flintknapping. Gary

A sincere 'thank you' to all who contributed - this has been a valuable and interesting learning experience.

Awesome points made by Jim Spears. He signed them and did not try to pass them off as ancient. Not old, but still worth some bucks.

how much are they asking?
