Perfect day to get out for the first time. Did a little hiking last weekend and found an old foundation by a local river. Appears to be an old cottage. Decided to give it a try this weeken. Tons of junk all around. Never found so many light bulb ends. Those things ring up high so have to dig them. I did manage a couple pieces of silver. The ring is pretty heavy. I spent 20 minutes trying to find the stone but come to find out after researching a bit when I got home that this ring was a locket ring. Supposed to be a swing door on the front. Need to go back and see if I can find the door. Found this brooch which appears to be silver, only one of the stones left in it. The truck is a manoil toy. Never found one of these before. Also misc stuff. Play money, clad, an old solid iron, watch case or fob maybe. It was nice to get out. Just bought a Tesoro tiger shark.. Thinking I might try the river out there as well because it looks like that area might have been a local swimming area.

Sounds like a really cool location! Great work.

Sure like the ring and truck! WTG

Looks like ya found a good site!! Congrats on the Silvers - that ring looks heavy

Great site to dig at it appears, that silver ring is a Primo find ! Good luck on saving the rest 8-)

Thanks for the replies, I am thinking the only reason why the silver, and even the car were still there is that they rang in just like a light bulb end :laughing7:. Otherwise this place was devoid of any good signals, ie coins, didn't find one coin except for the clad which was a spill, about 100 ft from the foundation. Might give the tiger shark a try around an old mill that is a couple miles upstream from this spot. The ring by the way is from the WW2 era. Not military, most likely bought by a family member for moral support.
