Hello all.

Saturday afternoon I went back to the wooded area where I found the 1855 Half Dime a few weeks ago. It was muddy so I tried the creek for a while with no luck. I started making my way up the hill away from the creek and finally got a nice signal that turned out to be the Merc. I continued my way up the hill and got another really good signal. It wasn’t deep so I thought it MIGHT be a clad quarter, but as I pushed the dirt away I could see the silver rim of a quarter size coin.

I started spraying it with some water and eventually could tell it was my first SLQ. :hello2:

Here they are cleaned up. I don’t always post the more common silver coins I find, but since this was my first SLQ, I made an exception. :laughing7:

What a thriller! Even shows the date still. Very nice

I've only gotten one after 3 years of obsessively hunting and I'll never for get it. The first thing I saw was that eagle. It's was beautiful, but not as beautiful as yours yours is in excellent condition and you got a clear date.... you are the man. Congratulations

Dang that's a nice one!

What an EYE POPPER that is!! It's sweet!

Great find! It's been a long time for me, but one will come :)

Your patience has been well rewarded with that very nice example of a highly detailed SLQ. Congrats and may there be a few more ahead for you.:headbang:

Congratulations on a beautiful coin! Well worth the time and effort.

Congrats on your first Standing Liberty Quarter. That is a blazer coin with a full date. Those just don't come along very often.

What a beauty! A really nice one for your first. Congrats

SPECTACULAR find!

Congrats Bill. Great looking coin too.

should be worth a few rolls of Cuters :icon_thumleft::icon_thumright:

I have dozens of dug silver coins, trimes, half dimes, Barbers but have never dug a SLQ!!! I would definitely post that with pride!
