Hello all.
Saturday afternoon I went back to the wooded area where I found the 1855 Half Dime a few weeks ago. It was muddy so I tried the creek for a while with no luck. I started making my way up the hill away from the creek and finally got a nice signal that turned out to be the Merc. I continued my way up the hill and got another really good signal. It wasn’t deep so I thought it MIGHT be a clad quarter, but as I pushed the dirt away I could see the silver rim of a quarter size coin.
I started spraying it with some water and eventually could tell it was my first SLQ.
Here they are cleaned up. I don’t always post the more common silver coins I find, but since this was my first SLQ, I made an exception.
Thanks for looking. GL and HH.
