Took me 10 months to find a silver Washington... and its a looker!

A bizarre slump this year got broken by this great looking coin...1934.


Today was a great hunt...also pulled a couple of dimes, a 47-D Rosie..and a sharp 1936 Merc... so I am happy with those for sure.

The 3 wheats were highlighted by a 1916...awesome!


BUT..the Belle of the ball is the 1944 Phillipines 5 centavo....
It has an alloy of copper, zinc and nickel.....these were minted for the Phillipines during WW2, a foreign war nickel!!!

Went back this morning, figured I might score more on account it rained overnite.... pulled 7 more wheats, and another one of those mini coke bottles....

then I came home and watched the Dolphins lose....

Great silver hunt,, congrats on the wheats.
That 5 Centavo war Nickel was probably a
souvenir brought home by a returning
serviceman, if only our finds could talk.
