Her and the male were flying around and my Son got a video of it as it circled and landed back in the nest.
It was sooo awesome to see such a sight and I am so glad the kids got to experience that.

I figure the chick(s) are 2 weeks old.

GOD Bless

Chris

I've been keeping an eye on that eagle nest I spotted. I've seen them coming and going a couple times. The fish and game put a no trespassing signs by the road next to the field, that also mentioned a strict warning prohibiting the use of drones. Some one must have been using one to inspect the nesting eagles.~Dummy's :icon_scratch:

Not the brightest thing to do now is it.

Nice photos, WT. I really like the one where the eagle is taking off!
Too bad they didn't catch any fish! BB would have loved to seen it posted on Fish Pics. :glasses12::fish:

We have an eagles nest at a park not far from my home.
Its a fairly large park, although not a lot of resources. They have ballfields that are rarely used. A playground and pavilions at one end, more ballfields and a boat ramp at the other.
The park is built parallel to a high power line right of way, and there is a train track running parallel to that.
The eagles have built their nest on the top of one of the huge powerlines. Although its about 200 yards distant, there is a clear view from the road entering the park. They have been there for years.
It seems encroachment has been bringing raptors closer to civilization. I saw a vulture after a deer that had been hit by a car at a major intersection of a large high school, and because of a rodent infestation, I have a hawk that shows up at dusk and waits on the power lines at the back end of my property for the game to start.
I am not as rural as when I was a kid, but see more variety and larger wildlife than I did then.
