Tools found in old miner's camp (1800s)

Well, went to an old site up in Nevada County and happened to find yet another miners site. Found some interesting stuff but the most interesting are these two long handle pliers. The larger has about 2 foot handles and the other about a foot and a half. What were these used for? Looks like something blasting related. Let me know! 20180429_194257.webp
 

I would say you found some cool blacksmith tongs. some electrolysis and finish and they would display nice. to me that would be a good find.

Nice find. The top one was used for pulling bad teeth, among other things.
 

They do look like blacksmith forging tools.
 

That's some nice finds for sure. Maybe you will get lucky and start finding some old lost gold nuggets..
 

Thank you for the likes! I was pretty excited to find another decent spot. Someday one of these places will give up their hidden gold.
