I thought that too, but the black enamel doesn't quite fit....

Bear maybe? Would a dog have a molar the size of a quarter? Big dog maybe.... no luck with google images on this thing. Alien perhaps.

The black may have been absorbed from the sea water, or from eating shellfish. Just guessing.
