Roughly about 40 Hours swinging the ACE 250. Still holding on to my "learners permit" with it.
Stopped at a tot lot to warm up for the evening and scored .35 cents in clad, a junk jewelry chain and an earring that had me doing doubletakes for a second.
Went to a wooded park that was close to home to and this is where the exciment began. I followed the path and was catching old pull tabs every 2-3 feet and none of them were newer. I told my daughter that I have to keep looking cause its bound to be something else! First up after 6 tabs... A thing that looked like a headstamp but turned out to be something from a 10,000 watt street lamp (researching).
Next... Tootsie Toy Truck!!!! Says 1969 on the underside and there was no trailer close to it. I can noit find something similar in searching images so I hope its a rare! I'm sure there is an expert or two that can give insight.
Sparkplug? In the woods? Yup. went to the trash pocket, but was weird to find.
A gun!! Yes a gun!! Well, toy gun, but I was laying rectangular foundations in my pants. It was about 10 feet past the truck. No clue on age, no cleaning on it yet for markings cause I'm please with how it looks sitting on my desk all nice and dirty right now.
Swinging a few feet more, pulled up a iron wire and than a nail. And I never expected what happens next.
Got a low tone, it jumped around and I called out pull tab and started probing and got my beeps on the pinpointer. Did a small dig with the spade and out jumps a ring!!!! Stainless Steel and no more than 4 inches from the path and 2 inches in the ground! Thought it was silver at first the way it was so clean from coming up! I had to keep going but the sun was low and the bugs were getting mad and buzzing in my face. 2-3 more tabs and a few scew tops from liquer bottles I gave up. Was a great day ever so far and I am surely going to hit that place up again because it has not been touched yet with a dectector after all I got there I believe.
Thanks for reading... enjoy the picture show!!
