I want to by a metal detector but have to sell my stamps. I know I have to be a charter member to sell them is trading the same? Im going to catalog my pre 1935 US and my First Day envelopes to get an idea of what is what. There is Queen Elizabeth coronation album really beautyful.

I will take some pics and see if there is some that might attract attention.

I think either way you have to be a charter member, but check the trade section in the classifieds and see if there is a message. If you are doing wrong the moderators will delete your post with a message.

Try other treasure sites or even ebay, craigs list, stamp collection sites. You are not just limited to this site.

My camera batteries ran out but I thought Id start to see what is actually in the box and this is as far as I got. I am seeing some interesting pre 1935 (and there abouts) stamps, cards and envelopes. I'll get batteries and take a closer look. Some 1894-95, all US 1cent,2cent. Im looking forward to finally doing this. I see what I got then decide how to proceed. Ive a few pics I took before the camera took a dump maybe tomorrow Ill get some batteries and get a start. Stamps are pretty difficult to sell at true value. Believe me, I know - an enormous collection since childhood (50,000 stamps at age 12) - 60 years in the hobby. Mine are NOT for sale, but I do pay attention. A couple days ago I went into Craiglist and saw the same ad of a collector trying to sell his - much less than mine, but still in the realm of what you've posted here in your pictures. He's had his for sale cheap for over six months now. Still hasn't sold them.

So, be prepared for a shock if wanting to sell them. I don't wish to sell mine - they're a childhood friend of many great pleasures.

It seems there are so few of us now.....

Deepseeker ADS,
So true. It 'aint like it use to be'. Back in the day (early 50s)....I could go up into my grandparents attic and cull through their envelopes--many of which looked like the cover as shown on the OP's top right pic--address to "Miss Betty Robinson".
Today, those memories of the fun of collecting stamps are far more valuable than receiving today's prices.
So, I too, will keep my collection and be very content with the associated memories.
Don....

It's true that Stamps are pretty difficult to sell at true value. And to get metal detector by selling it, its also very difficult.U should find that person who's need stamps and can buy it from you, You should start searching from around your area.
