Since I retired as a Class A Restoration & Technical Repair Contractor quite a few years ago, I have found a niche in doing repairs to mobile homes. It seems like the demand is high, but there doesn't seem to be anybody around to work on them anymore. Today I started on an older trailer that the has a leaking roof, the floor is falling out of, the front stoop was rotted and falling off the home, and it is in a general state of disrepair. At any rate, I started by removing the front stoop and steps and building a new one so I could safely get in and out of the trailer. Under the stoop, I found a small plastic trash bag that had 8 pieces of pewter in it: 3 Jefferson Cups, 3 cups with handles, a small shot glass, and a jigger. The Jefferson Cups are not engraved and bear the mark SP Handcrafted Pewter. Two of the handled cups are engraved: one with APF and one with a fancy script I can't make out. Both bear the mark Salisbury Pewters-Images of A-Handcrafted Fine Pewter-Made in USA. The third handled cup is not engraved and bears the mark Woodbury Pewters and an eagle. The little shot cup is engraved and says UVA LAW 1988, and bears the mark Camelot Pewters - Handcrafted in Virginia. The jigger is unmarked.
