If you ever get to the far south I would think the bays and islands of the Arabian Sea could be interesting.

Pakistan has a lot of gold so you might try nugget hunting.

Its not the type of surface gold you find in Australia, its much deeper and plus its in a very remote place near the Iranian border (parched desert, not very accessible and not particularly safe)

(caravans/watering holes)...Moghul emperors built huge wells where caravans used to stay
