I plan on being over on the Treasure Coast this weekend for the seminar on the 1715 Fleet in Sebastion. My son (13 years old) will be with me and we are both fairly new at "treasure hunting" on the east coast. We do most of our stuff in the Keys and SW coast. Besides the McLarity Museum and Mel Fisher's place, can anyone give us some ideas of "hot spots" to visit? I'd like to make the trip interesting for my son since he has the pre-teen attention span. Beaches to MD or snorkel/dive, other museums/shops, etc.

Take him to Wabasso beach to meet the surfer dudes and dudettes. Ask about Turtle and Seagrape beach accesses for MD'ing. Go to Sebastion Inlet State park (Oceanside) for fishing.
