So, they're essentially uncut bars intended for coinage, similar to the Spanish "cobs?" Sweet! Were they all clumped together like that, or did you find them in several different areas?

They are not ingots.
They are a kind of coins, trade coins used when doing 'bigger businesses" in the Middle Ages.

Our friends found this treasure in association with archaeologists. For sure it is a find of the 2005 in Poland.

No one can get better, but I'm not sure of what I'm writing....
They say.:" Never say never." ....

Thats awesome... I don't know why I was thinking they were metal boot inserts... I guess because all the awesome WWII finds you have, and they fact that they do kinda look like that... except they aren't made of silver !!!!!!
