Interesting story. But sadly lacking the background story. It does seem a little bizarre what they was doing so late at night. They was digging under thier house? Since when is that arrestable offence?

Jeff it is refreshing to see your efforts posting these newspaper stories. While many turn out to be stories others got more meat on the bone. Others will lead you to the carcass of the story with more research.

I am a little surprised people do not take the time to research some more these stories? perhaps they are not like me an old hungry dog after a morsel.

I would Think & Hope those Story Locations that are in their hometown, or at least there general detecting area
would get more then just a cursory glance

Considering the Amount of Tales there has to be a Few legit ones still
there and waiting Because they were Laughed off, given up on and OR Forgotten about

otherwise, it's Like wanting to win the Lottery,,,,,, but never buying a lottery ticket
