Hi friend. I believe from personal experience treasure hunting metal detecting is very harmful for students because it destroyed my life from school i used metal detector and never focused on study because of much absent in school and looking for treasures in ruins side i always got D grade in result before metal detecting i got first position in call and yes got some coins in detecting and sold them recovered travel costs.i wasted my important student life in treasure hunting my some class mates are now in medical MBBS some are engineering difference fields study and i am in failure now i just hate my self some time think to suicide.its my advice for young treasure hunter students who think that they will find treasure and become rich easily its just joke this are good in movies not in real life.focus on study work hard study hard if you want to become rich.sorry if my post is against this forum.but its my story
Anything in excess can be harmful to students and adults alike.
Instead of continuing down the same path that lead you to the point you're now at, why not change the way you approach life?
Learn from the success of your fellow classmates. Their journey wasn't one that consisted of nothing but sunshine and joy; they worked to get to the point that they're at. Look to those former classmates for inspiration; copy their actions, their habits, their sacrifices. If they can do it, so can you. You might have to work a bit harder than you think they did, but it's a sure bet that they worked harder than many would think.
It all boils down to how much you want it, and how much you're willing to do (work, sacrifices, etc..) to get it.
There's a quote from the movie 'Troy' - (yes, I know it is just a movie but the statement sums life up quite well) - "I want what all men want: I just want it more."
The fact is that most really successful people worked extremely hard to get where they are in life. They gave up things that most people won't. They made sacrifices that most people won't. They took risks that most people won't. They learned from their mistakes, and made adjustments because of those mistakes. They also reached a level of success that most people won't.
If you're at the end of the road, you got there because of the decisions you made (metal detecting wasn't the reason). Only you are preventing yourself from changing directions, trying a different route, or changing the destination completely. Anything and everything that stands in your way can be circumvented if you decide you want success more than you want excuses.
I wish you luck and much success.
It's up to you.
