Entertaining! That's quite a letter to write in a circle of paper the size of a watch! With a map!

Remarkable! Or, perhaps more accurately, incredible!

By 1868, the date of the letter, the art of writing and drawing in miniature had evolved to the point that placing the letter and the map in the watch would have been no big deal. My only concern would the same as all treasure leads, is it a complete hoax or an actual treasure lead?

This is intriguing - anyway to get a copy of the map?..do you know who owns the letter and map....what book/mag was it in?
