My favorite all-time book is "Shibumi" by Trevanian. For me it's the best adventure novel ever written.

Check out Wilbur Smith , a South African author who writes some azzkickin novels involving treasures
on the African continent .

I've read Smith. He writes swashbucklers like romance novels for men. His series (can't recall title) about the English sailing family's legacy in African waters is great.

"Shout at the Devil" is another good one.
