Well I saw a movie with the Devil's Pitchfork as a treasure clue....
and doesn't an octopus guard Davey Jone's Locker

We got out to sea today!
It was flat, only a very lite swell, and no chop, and lite wind.
There was a bit of rain, mid-morning, but no fog throughout the day.

Here's the Treasure Map shot, of the Devil's Pitchfork.


It's the three stacks of an electrical powerplant showing through a gap in the two rocks!


This fellow just wasn't what we hoped to catch! And we got TWO of them!!
Sent 'em back to Davey Jones because they creeped out the skipper when they went crawling up the side of the boat to get away!


And here are a bunch of cormorants nesting in their own dung on the seaward side of a rock.
I guess you build a nest with what you got to work with! Yuck!

Hey Bigfish... Just saw your bride in the cabinet! LoL

They are trolling for halibut on the sandy flats and pulling a few rockcod from various spots.

It was pretty much a shakedown cruise for this old dog of a Valco since I recovered it almost a year after it was stolen.. a coat of paint didn't help... It still leaks like a sieve! I'll lay a couple coats on heavier, next time.

Must put my little humminbird on it, too. That would help us a lot.
We mostly fish the kelp beds, but this time stayed out in the open bay.

How you doin' up there?
Got any new pictures to post? angling pictures, that is! LoL

ARRRG found a lot of booty in Morro Bay before i got married. Legand has it there is a mean pirate there named MG Digger

By the way, sorry for bringing up and old thread...

I will be going there next week with my wife and I would like to know what are the best places to go around the town?

Is there any great beach around. We heard about the Bluefish beach (pictures can be found here: diablo 3 barbarian skills list )

Any tips to make our trip more enjoyable?
