I once lived at the Hotel California located at 1907 W. 6th Street in LA.--just east of Alvarado. Had the 'penthouse' --for $60 per night. In the adjoining room lived a 'lady of the night"--so I was told. At their coffee shop I would have dinner , listent to Tony B. sing "I left my heart in San Francisco' and drink 50 cent wines.
After a knifing in the lobby, I decided to move; especially after one of my co-workers said I'd never get an advancement at the company if I stayed at the HC. 1962; it was a very good year. Great memories; thanks for bringing them back up.
