Was looking through a box of coins left behind by my grandfather and came across this. My grandfather was in the navy during wwii and there were several other foreign coins mixed in from different places he visited I assume. This caught my eye immediately. The one inside rim reads new Zealand 1940 one florin and the reverse reads George vi king emperor and was very well worked into a ring. Thanks for looking and tell me what you think

It's possible. I've read where soldiers made coin rings for their sweethearts back home while serving overseas during downtime. Contrary to popular belief soldiers weren't at battle 24-7-365.
