I took a stroll to the nearest fishing pier, with my 200lb lift magnet....wow! did it pay off, not with collectibles, more like lost valuables. First drop, I picked up this unique blade that I plan to use. Also, picked up two Avet SX 5.3 witch are worth about 200 beans and after a little cleaning will be field ready. Funny thing, when I ventured into this spot, there was a guy MD'ing and we chatted for awhile and he showed me his finds, three coins a King George Copper from the 1700's, a 3 cent silver and a 1857 Liberty Dime. I think I found my new spot, and a seasonal permit is $20.00...a good day indeed

Thats on you brother, I don't scuba, and if I did, I would not Scuba dive the Hudson, not only do the currents rip, god knows what you would encounter.

Nice retrievals. You know, I bought one of those 200 lb. magnets from Harbor Freight probably 5-6 years ago and it aint done nuthin but gather dust since then. Okay, actually it's stuck to the side of my safe and I haven't tried pulling it off, but anyway after reading your post, I may have to unstick it and give it a try sometime this next month.

Every time I go to my stream side bottle dump, I take a tosses with the magnet in the deeper pools, you never know what you will come up with, maybe some steel coinage. About the lift magnet, I got it awhile ago at west marine, but I am looking at getting a rare earth magnet thats half the size and double the strength.

damn nice knife!!!! Maybe i will buy one, and for 20 bucks :)
