Trifecta silver ... and more.
Had a great hunt on Thursday at Riverside Park.
First several targets dug were trash, but then some better targets came along. A1934 P Merc, two war nickels: '43P and '45P formed the silver trifecta for the day. Along the way came nine wheats from 1934 through 1957 and two Buffalo nickels: 1936 and 1937. In the last 20 minutes of the hunt I unearthed an 1880 Indian head penny. Two interesting non-coin finds were the remains of a rhinestone heart pin and a sample cosmetic manufactured by in Chicago and marketed under the "Lady Esther" label. Didn't want to leave the park that day.
