Trinity?

Looking through these posts about Inca treasures, I'm wondering if anyone has heard of "The Treasure of the Trinity?" What I've heard is really fascinating. A Portuguese sailor stole Inca gold from a Bolivian king. The sailor was killed on his way home and the gold was passed on to Jesuit priests. Then the priests had it stolen by pirates and I heard the treasure was lost and never recovered. Wondering if anyone has any more info about it, I'd love to know more.

The Treasure of the Trinity is what they search for in the Discovery show "Treasure Quest - Snake Island" they find a large stash at the end of season 2
