tropical storm Noel (Florida?)

I'll be on a three day camp out with my 5th grader. You guys have fun!

Wish I was closer than 1,400 miles away. Nyuk, Nyuk, Nyuk.

Got my Excals and Sovereign set to go, they are beating on the door of the closet now, just chomping at the bit to go.

Check out these Sun-Sentinel pics from Palm Beach, FL. Buildings could fall in the sea! With the rising ocean waters its only a matter of time. I think they are fighting a losing battle. There must be some cracks in the foundation. Seawalls were lost for the first time since 1959. http://www.sun-sentinel.com/
Im headed to the beach for lo tide ;D

heading to Ft Pierce Friday morning, then Archies for lunch.....will update on the beach conditions friday nite.

I just got back from Hallandale Beach to check it out. The problem is that it wasnt low tide. :-[ The rough surf from strong NE winds covered the entire beach. I forgot camera.

I am sure all of us don't want to see injury or loss of life or property, but at the same time we do get a kind of "rush" when these storms come thru just imagining what they will uncover!??! Course, we don't have hurricanes out here in California, but I do look forward to big winter storms to wash out a few feet of sand! Good luck and safety to all!

Noel wont uncover anything till we see 15-20 feet straight down taken off the beach at the dune line.

add me to the list of MD swinging fools that will be on the beach this weekend! i'm just gonna head up to west palm beach though.

I plan on heading out to melbourne beach tomorrow morning with my ml explorer

Never plan on finding anything. That way you won’t be too disappointed. ;D

Went out Sunday morning to John Brooks (along the Treasure Coast), during low tide with my Garrett Sea Hunter. Surf was calm compared to the last several days. Worked area for over two hours and found very little. I believe I was in good company though, saw about 10 others detecting the beach with numerous brands of MD's, i.e. Minelabs, Whites, and Bountyhunters. Talked to a couple of them and not much was found by either, and was informed by both that too many detectors were on the beach. Which didn't bother me except when someone moved near my detector
. My wife found some wonderful shells and the morning and the ocean was beautiful! I wasn't able to retire but enjoyed the outing.
You can't beat that!!

My buddy and me went to the Cannon / Anchor wreck areas and then Chucks. Not to impressive. I found a car key in the middle of nowhere. New coins in the middle of nowhere. And Chucks is still all new sand. Found a number 5 from an address. It was way down near the bottom of the cliff the erosion left behind. It was a cliff of fill dirt.
If you look at the goggle earth shot of the chucks Steak house area you can see the road they built to dump crap on the beaches.
Oh well if you don’t go you will never know. I will be back.
