My trusty Fiskar trowel broke at the handle yesterday. I won't lie...for almost 2 years I've used it hard and exclusively and using it as a pry bar eventually took it's toll. I went on-line and found out it has a lifetime warranty. I went to their site, filled out a claim form and they said to expect a replacement in 7-10 days. YES!

In the mean time I realized how dumb it was to depend on one tool so I went and visited my girlfriend (at least in my head) at her new and expanded second hand store. I scored the two backups today from her for a buck fifty...possible paydirt no xtra charge.

Ya just have to love those lifetime warranties. Fiskar tools are good and that they stand behind them like that is even better!

The soil scoop is cheap enough at $2.38 new. I'm thinking about drilling two 1/4" holes in the back/top and use it for scooping material under flowing water and straight to pan for sampling.
