MOUNT COMFORT, Ind. (January 26, 2009)—
Three Indiana state highway workers found a
truck tire along Interstate 70 with about $100,000
stuffed inside.

The workers were cleaning up roadside trash when
they discovered the cash stash.

State Police suspect the cash could be drug money
and are investigating.

Troopers are also praising the highway crew for
turning in the loot.

That money would be finder's keeper's...

It's a common way of transporting drug money. If you turn it in it will just go into the general fund of some government office. Nobody will show up to claim it, if they do, there will be too much explaining to do.

Someone's lost wallet, briefcase... that's something I would return. Not a load of unreported drug profits...

Would I turn it in? Hell no! Whats the gov need more money for, finders keepers. Its not like your stealing it from some private resident or organization. In that case I would return it.
