coinage0001.webp This is a coin I detected on a river bank , not sure what it is the other side of the coin has the same wreath wrapping around the coin, but that is all you can make out. The visible side which you see in the pic is all I've got on this one. Does anyone think this may be colonial ??? Appears to be possible copper mix of metal...idk?

What is it's size? A ruler next to the coin in another pic would help--as might a pic of the other side notwithstanding its degree of degradation.
Don....

We need a better close-up along with a size.

Agreed, this "coin" has piqued my interest, and I have been looking at tons of pictures trying to identify it. From what I see, there is a wreath around the bottom half wrapping upwards and some sort of being inside the oval, standing on a hill. It strikes me as being automobile related, but I don't know why.

Wow that is incredible. Thank you Iron Patch! Thanks to everyone that replied, and the advice to help identify. Well that's my oldest coin find besides a rare 1858 Indian Head Penny. That's terrific !
