Met up with Junkman and we hit one site in NW Houston. Between us we got 5 silvers, all dimes, 3 Mercs and 2 Rosies, and 34 wheats. Also got several 50-60's era Tootise toys and one nice 10K "Kingsley Sons#$#%" gold ring. Also got a 52 wheat attached to a hunk of iron. The CTX does really well in iron infested areas.

Kool hunt, good job! Love the signet!

Very nice! So I'm taking you like the CTX? I'd love to hear your pros/cons about it.

I think it is a great machine. It is overwhelming at times in iron areas, especially with the big coil. Even though it is several times faster than the E-trac, I have to still take my time with it and go pretty slow. Fellows with the ATPro can go a bit faster and cover more ground. Depth is great, and the accuracy of targets at depth is outstanding. With the 6" coil when I leave a spot I honestly feel I have gotten everything. Using the GPS I can see where I have been, knowing I have covered the total area. Excellent machine!

I have an etrac and never invite any fast swinging machine owners to a new site.... Well honestly I don't invite anyone to a new site. :) youll see those at pro users slow down to your etrac speed on a well hunted site.

I like that signet ring. Can you explain the Kingsley Sons@#$%? Why the characters?

Very nice finds. That is a great day.

IMG_0980.webp I couldnt make out the last 4 letters after 'Sons' I originally thought it said 'sonsline', but where the 'i' would be appears to be far too large to be an 'i'. Everywhere on the net I find the jeweler, Kingsley it just says 'Kingsley and Sons'.

Might it read, "Kingsley and Sons Inc."?

Great finds, I'm eventually going to get ctx 3030, but until then ill just keep using my safari.

Whats the date on the nickel?

Whats the date on the nickel?

1979. No war nickels that day. Got an 1870 shield from an old site in downtown Houston Saturday.
