Deus 2 (new owner) ... Freshwater lake, Pacific North West near 5000' mountain range. Black sands, roundish black rocks (fist/double fist sized). Says IRON. I could not get the D2 to settle down. Tried all factory programs plus menu setting adjustments. Back at it again next week. Question is firstly suggestions to tame the detector or conclude some areas just have to walk away from. Thanks...

I've never used a Deus let alone 2! But from my experience the rocks and ground in the Pacific Northwest (Oregon for me) are highly mineralized. Hopefully someone familiar with your machine will answer and give you some information. Good luck!
