Turkey and Georgia MDing

I'm travelling to both Turkey and the Republic of Georgia (not the U.S. state) over this winter break.
Does anybody now the legality of metal detecting in either country?
Also, if anybody has some tips and would like to share. Please

ive only just registered so not seen your post before on Georgia.

Out of interest did you manage to detect in Turkey and Georgia as im looking to do the same soon.

hi jup51 and tricky, yeah you can metal detect just have to be cautious where you do it as the public will know you looking for something, turkey has allot of treasure hidden but you cant really reach it due to local populations been abit conservative, just have to be cautious, also it is illegal for a brit to dig in turkey, yet an Australian is ok.
