I thought my finding an unusually bronze spike in the coral rock off the coast of Grand Turk could have come from the Molassas Reef Wreck ( La Pinta ). unfortunatlly bronze was not used to fasten ship planks until 1750. The letter is from the caption of the 55 ft. trawler I made the trip on.I though the cross on the spike was like the cross on Columbuses ships. The model is a 4ft. scrach built model of the Pinta.
