On Sunday I picked up this ewer. At first I thought it was new because of its shine.

When I turned it over I saw no marks but only a small paper label.

I really like the gradation of colors in the glaze. The pitcher dates between 1899-1920 and stylistically is transitional from Arts & Craft to Art Nouveau, which makes me think it was made around 1905.

Today's find is an abstract painting signed by Belag. I've not yet verified it's artist but I think it's by
Andrea Belag born 1951. I will be emailing her to see for sure. Her contemporary work has asking prices in the low 5 figures.

Good eye on the pitcher, and good luck with the painting. That would be like hitting a grand slam in the bottom of the 9th inning of the world series, with two outs and two strikes, down by 3 :)

Both items are great! Good eye!
