Turned out gorgeous today! Walked around a field a little and decided to go straight up the middle. First target was this 1825 Large Cent. After that there wasnt really much so I enjoyed the sun and some much needed down time!

A friend was in a local sporting goods store and a guy walked out with 3 detectors! Pretty soon there will a ton of competition up here!

Just wait until these new treasure hunting shows air... My friend Steve is getting ready for a huge influx of newbies...

Sorry to get off the original subject, but Al is 100% right. The storage shows ruined it for the usual regulars, and all this new show on th'ing will do is wake up the Archaeological society again. Anything found over 100 years old belong to the state... Total BS if you ask me. Sure, I agree about staying out of protected Indian lands, and historical sites, but to find a 1909 wheatie or such in the ocean or ballfield, what historical merit does that hold.
