Found both at the old 1920s house site that keeps producing. The first is a pretty solid brass piece about the size of a light socket cover with the words Muselle on one end and decorative pattern on the other end. There is a pretty edge all the way around the piece too.The other piece is a heavy brass, says Michigan on it and the little extension moves from right to left.

Great! Got it .. just what I was thinking .. It is a dial plate off of a floor model Musette radio.

Well I'll be! Thank you Creskol! Any idea how old a radio like that might be?

Coily can you take a pic of the back of the one that says Michigan and does the hole in the center of it go all the way thru or does it stop?

I just routed out the center hole with a piece of spaghetti so it does go all the way through. Here's a picture of the back of the piece. My guess on the diameter is about 1 and half to two inches.

Benz you may be onto something! I will show the patent post to my mister as it is far too technical to me. I found an old back to a railroad timekeeper's pocket watch at this same site.
