Two boxes yielded 1 walker and 2 40%. Turned in $77 of 40% at the coin store and got
$3.65 for the $1. Not bad. What I learned at the coin show was I have a lot to learn. Saw all kinds of stuff. People selling regular circulated Ikes for $2 a piece. A lot of un certified coins going for a lot of money. One dealer out right lied to me about the silver spot price today. Anyway, with the money I got from selling 40% halves I bought a couple Peace dollars, nothing special. I was just curious what you all thought I paid for them. Of course it was more than the silver content, at least no taxes. Oh yeah, submitted my 1906 S walker to ngc. The insurance for the sending it back was the catch, since I had submitted only one coin. Anyway, Im hoping Vf to XF on the grade. Heres the peace dollars.

oops, that was a 1906 S Barber Half I submitted to NGC.

If you got $3.65 for 2 40% It was not to bad The current price of silver would put it at $3.88 for 2 @ 13.13oz a $0.23 (2) or $0.115 each if he sold for spot. He must make a profit to stay in business. and that is not much of profit for him about 6%.

i like the peace dollars. is that normal wear on the 1925, it looks like the "in god we" is worn or an error. im no coin expert tho.

Probably just worn as these were in the circulated junk box. However, with the coin in hand the "in god we" does not look as worn.

I'll guess you paid $8-$12 for each.

I think Silver content alone it would be at around $10. I did see some at the show for $12 but they were horrible. I paid $15 a piece. Certainly not a great deal, but again no taxes and its from money I made selling 40% halves. I put one in my daughters box and one in my nephews box. Got to be a profit in 15 to 20 years, I would think! ;)
