Hello All,

Video of my buddy Shane's belt plate coming up, and the discovery that I had an eagle breastplate piece hiding in with my scrap lead from the site! Plus a really cool pheasant wax fob seal, spur, and more. :) Two plates being dug in 7 days is a SWEEEET week! But I just went out today and beat some personal records. We surpassed our 300th silver coin from digging in Louisiana--and my wife and I had a 6 silver day! So I'll get the finds cleaned and make that post soon! In the meantime, enjoy the plate video. :):headbang:

Way cool! A plate is wonderful .. two plates are over the top! You all did GREAT! Where are you going to send the US plate to be restored?

That fob is a killer!

Very Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Thanks for sharing some of your great finds and the video. Really liking the plates, spur, brass ramrod end, and all the other relics too. Congrats!

As always Buckleboy, you smacked the relics. Great hunt.

Awesome relic hunt, congrats! :occasion14:

I just caught your last two outings. . . wonderful recoveries!!

It's always nice to find a complete artifact but as everyone knows, that doesn't always happen. We have to live with what we find and take stock of what each "piece" and its place in history represents.

All the best and keep safe!

Great huntI would be happy with 1 in my lifetime awesome job.....Tommy

Very nice collection of finds BuckleBoy. You've done very well for yourself down in Louisiana...300 silvers and counting...pretty awesome!

totally true! I’ve been very lucky with plates in the past. Aside from a snake buckle (only found one side and no snake), everything I’ve dug was complete more or less. Was overdue to dig just a piece of one.

I’ve been amazed at what we’ve dug. No doubt many on this forum dig more silvers than we do. 300 in a decade isn’t that outstanding... BUT 120 of those 300 were seated and 97 were Spanish silver. We’ve also had 7-8 capped bust coins in these 10 years too. So that’s pretty astounding percentages. Seems like we are overdue for a gold after digging so many silver coins
