two days at the beach, found a plane

Hunted around Cocoa Beach, found a plane. One screeming signal sounding everything like an aluminum can turned out to be 5 dimes scattered in the same hole, the deepest 3 feet down.

Ran into Tom Dankowski, He was field testing his latest creation, a detector with an elliptical double D. This thing saw metal that was invisible to both my pinpointer and Excalibur. There is an interesting article on his site about pull tab dirt strata. ( www.dankowskidetectors.com )

Damn, I can imagine walking along and snagging that in my foot! OUCH!! >:( And also...Looks like you found someone's Mood candle from a romantic rendezvous. Ooooo La La ;)

Re: two days at the beach, found a plane

cool lot, neat little plane, you don't see many metal ones anymore just cheap dimestore plastic.

For you poor poor souls up north! Ya'll should come visit me I live in the Winter Texas capital of Mcallen, and it is suppose to hit 81 today. Sunny skies all the way! But don't come in the summer as you will fry fry fry.

Re: two days at the beach, found a plane

Nice group of finds, I can't wait to hit the beach this winter!

Re: two days at the beach, found a plane

It is cruel and unusual punishment for all y'all Southern folks to rub our noses in how warm it is in the South! Yeah, I know it's fit punishment for the War of Northern Aggression, but still, it weighs heavy on our souls! Took my car to the Gas City carwash to remove the salt deposits and the wash doors froze shut with me and car inside! Thought I was safe, since the temp was up to 16* at the time.

Does anyone beach hunt with any success around the Windy City, Indiana Dunes or South Haven, Mich.? When I was still able to dive on the wrecks in Lake Michigan (before insulin pump), never found any treasure, and darn sure never found any cobbs on the beach. Seems like North Avenue or Oak Street beach would be the spot to go.
