Hello everyone!!
I got my first silver, a 1952D Roosevelt on 4/6 and then the next day(today) I dug a 1941D Mercury(both firsts). YEESSS!! Finally!! It has taken me since 3/14/2010 to find a single silver and so it happened. To top this off, it was in my own front yard too. They were found about 10 feet apart too, on the north and south side of the sidewalk. I had moved in to this house built 1939 back in October 2012, and at that time had only hit the back yard. So this weekend being so nice i just had to dig in front. I am sure something else might be there, I'll keep picking at it off and on through the spring and summer.
Also, last weekend and this weekend I had also picked out two 1953D Wheaties, a few simple relics and clad. I can't complain.
Note: Can anyone give me some ideas on what the P.N.G. thing is? It is a pin, has a pin and a wire bar below the pin that I'm thinking held some kind of ribbon down or something. So, perhaps this was a type of medal or something? It also has the two little chain loops on the bottom to hold something, perhaps a medallion or some other hanging object. I think it's brass. Found it right up against the front porch next to the yucca plant using only my probe flat on the ground. (Sometimes I do this in crampy areas tightly around bushes and in flower beds next to houses and stuff...I find a lot of change doing this).
PS: The detector that found the silver was my Ace 250. Good boy...goood boooy!! (pat pat)
