Posted this up on Today's Finds last night. I thought the one ring with the gray stone was junk, it's not marked.
My buddy Davy Jones posted up that I should check that ring again. The stone is called Druzy Quartz ???.

I tested it and low and behold it's 9k gold!....Thanks Dave

This was my second hunt on Friday. I had to leave a little early on the morning low tide. Just after I left another friend found two gold rings just twenty feet from where I had stopped searching.
He sent me a text with the pictures:unhappysmiley:

So I hit another local spot for the evening low tide...just because I had a feeling of missing out in the morning.

Good Luck Out There............

Nice! All I'm getting is silver and stainless. No gold. I did see some erosion out there but it was sanding back in. Must have been from a few days ago. Congrats on the gold!

Just curious, does it have "Portland" on the blade? The older ones did, newer ones are assembled overseas I believe. I've got a few of both, but the one I carry everyday doesn't have Portland on it. Either way, it's one heck of a find! :icon_thumleft:
