On my other post I pictured a base that I found from a broken blade. My Son looked at it really close and commented on the flaking. My Wife cooked lunch for his birthday today and while he was here he looked at the broken base again. He pulled his phone out and pulled up a pic of a broken tip and overlaid my base on his phone. It looked like a possible match so he took the base home with him. Here is the pic that he just sent me:

He found the tip on the same field about a year before I found the base. I've heard of others matching brokes but this is our first. This is one of my favorite fields and he calls it my "Honey Hole".

That's a great story! Sweet blade that you both found.

Love it! So great to find the other piece! I have a large tip that I'm hoping to eventually find the base for myself. Congrats it's a beauty!

Nice story and a very good blade. Thanks for sharing.

Wow! What are the chances! That's pretty neat.

Killer! I pieced an ugly Rhyolite blade back together, but nothing like that little gem. Thanks for the view.

Nice blade.

When I lived in Missouri I met an old gentleman who had a house full of artifacts he found on his farm, one of them was a beautiful big turkey tail point, he found the base minus about 2 inches of tip one year and the tip a couple years later and it was like yours, a perfect match...

A happy reunion, now who gets to display it? lol

Well, they say possession is 9/10 ownership and he still has it! Thats ok, he would have it anyway, sooner or later. We were pumped, as it was the first match for either of us. I did pair a broke a few years ago, but the 2 halves were about a foot apart on the top of a furrow after a planter ran over it.
