Was able to get out for about two hours once I had dinner and put the son to bed. Some of the finds:
1) From the iron, not nails, but not sure what it is collection.
2) Silver plated fork
3) large earing, but do not think it's silver. No markings and not very heavy.
4) old brass key
5) old makeup compact with nice design
6 & 7) ** help ** this is what I was most excited for when I found it, but I'm not sure what it is. My gut said it had something to do with a button. It has good weight and color. Any have any idea??

Dan

My gut was right, it's the back part to a button.

WTG saving some relics.

Nice saves

the other 1/2 of that button has to be there someplace

I am going back Friday, hoping to find it. Other than coins, buttons are my absolute favorites! Large area that you have to move very slow in.

Nice finds Dan!! That fork is cool - looks old. Good luck on the return hunt.

Did you open that compact? I've found quite a few and never had any coins inside. I'll never forget the time my buddy found his 1st and only one and it had a 1st year Buffalo Nickel inside along with 2 Barber Dimes. Man what a score that was.

I did open it, and it was filled with... dirt lol I was bummed

My first Indian head penny!!

Was able to get back to the same spot for another 2 hours tonight. I have two pretty cool finds. The first is my first Indian head penny and it is 1907 in great condition. Second is a cool old water spout.
