Two Mary's!!!!!Silver

Had to go to a back up plan today
the fields I was expecting to be ploughed weren't
so I went to the area that produced the clipped Silaqua and the small Elizabeth Hammered
The first run down produced a Hammered
and it turned out to be my second Mary Groat 1553-54
these coins are quite scarce
but usually are very poorly made as was this one
I stopped on this field for most of the day
and had a few odds and ends
later in the day I had my second Hammered
and at first thought it to be a Elizabeth? not until I got it home did I realise it was another Mary
this time a quite rare Penny
this coin books at £575-£1750
but again it's not in good health
