Me and my dad got out today and had a very good few hours before the rain started. We hit an old small town city park that used to be a school yard, but the school no longer exist. I dug up two mecs (1924 and 1940), two barber dimes (1900 and 1916) and one indian (1906). All were dug in the 6-7 inch range and found by my DFX. Not pictured is my dad's first indian (1883), which is his oldest coin to date. It was dug at 8 inches and found with his XLT. He was a little disappointed that he didn't find any silver, but we'll hit it again when the weather clears. Also not pictured is 6 wheaties and some clad. The wheaties were from 1911 to 1942.

Thanks for looking

Doug, I own a White's Pro XL. This machine has been very kind to me and I have it down perfectly! I am hunting a small park now that has produced a lot of old coins. Each one of the coins are junk signals, hence the reason for them still being there. I have found silver in this park- 1944 Mercury dime, 1853 3-cent piece (6 inches deep), but I have found no more after that. My goal is to pull a Barber from this park. I have found 9 IHs here, 2 V nickels, so the Barbers need to be here. I always go very slow, too, and overlap my sweeps. Thanks for the information!

I've dug a couple wheat pennies that were borderline junk signals, anywhere from 3 to 8 inches deep. Strange how this happens, they don't sound "good" and discriminate out at a very low setting! Still hoping for my first Barber (well I did find a Barber nickel). You found yourself a great haul there!!
