Two More Central Texas Artifacts

I love the material in Coryell County. Very rarely is there a dog of an artifact. If your fortunate to find a whole point many times they have a silver or light gray hue. Many times the age related patina turns a gray Edwards Chert whitish/ silver and a brown Edwards Chert artifact light tan with white highlights. Both of these artifacts are from Coryell County, Texas.

nice saves. Plan to go to Texas 1 day to do a dig. Some very nice points come from there.

I was lucky to get invited to hunt for knapping flint by the late Don Kylberg in Bell Co. We went to Ft Hood. That was in the 90s when you could access the base. I couldn’t believe how much flint was laying everywhere. Many different sub types. I brought several hundred lbs home to IL. I still have several big nodules.
